Fault Phenomenon And Troubleshooting Methods

Fault Phenomenon Possible Factors Of Failure Methods Of Elimination
1. The pump cannot deliver liquid or the flow rate or head is insufficient. (1) There is air remaining inside the pump or in the suction pipe.
(2) The suction lift is too high or the priming is insufficient.
(3) The suction pipe is too small or blocked by foreign matters.
(4) The suction pipe is leaking air.
(5) The rotational speed is either too high or too low.
(6) The rotating direction of the pump is incorrect.
(7) The total head of the device does not match the head of the pump.
(8) The specific gravity and viscosity of the medium do not meet the requirements of the pump.
(9) The impeller is damaged.
(10) The magnetic rotor is demagnetized and slips.
(1) Refill the liquid to remove the air.
(2) Lower the pump position and increase the pressure at the inlet.
(3) Increase the diameter of the suction pipe and remove the blockages.
(4) Inspect and repair the pipeline.
(5) Check the rotational speed of the prime - mover and ensure it meets the specified requirements.
(6) When viewed from the motor end, it should rotate clockwise.
(7) Try to reduce the system resistance or the height.
(8) Recalculate or replace the motor with a suitable power rating.
(9) Replace the impeller.
(10) Replace the magnetic rotor.
2. Excessive power consumption. (1) The rotational speed is too high or too low.
(2) The total head of the device does not match the head of the pump.
(3) The specific gravity and viscosity of the medium do not meet the requirements of the pump.
(4) The inner and outer magnetic rotors rub against the spacer sleeve.
(5) There is an axial misalignment between the inner and outer magnetic rotors.
(1) Check the rotational speed of the prime - mover to ensure it meets the specified requirements.
(2) Try to reduce the system resistance or the height.
(3) Recalculate or replace the motor with a suitable power rating, and replace the inner and outer magnetic rotors corresponding to the motor power.
(4) Check the clearances between the inner and outer rotors and the spacer sleeve, and readjust the alignment.
(5) Adjust the axial positions of the inner and outer magnetic rotors.
3. Pump vibration and noise. (1) There is air remaining inside the pump or in the suction pipe.
(2) The suction lift is too high or the priming is insufficient.
(3) The suction pipe is too small or blocked by foreign matters.
(4) Vibration occurs when operating at an excessively low flow rate.
(5) Vibration is caused by the imbalance of the rotating parts.
(6) There are foreign matters blocking the pipeline or inside the pump.
(7) The pump body and the foundation bolts are loose.
(1) Refill the liquid to eliminate the air.
(2) Lower the pump position and increase the pressure at the inlet.
(3) Increase the diameter of the suction pipe and remove the blockage.
(4) Increase the flow rate or install a bypass circulation pipe.
(5) Check the cause and try to eliminate it.
(6) Conduct a careful inspection and remove the problem.
(7) Tighten the bolts.
4. Excessive heat or vibration of the pump. (1) Vibration occurs when the pump operates at a low flow rate.
(2) The axis of the pump is not aligned with that of the motor.
(3) The rotating parts rub against the fixed parts.
(4) The bearings are severely worn or damaged.
(5) Vibration is caused by the imbalance of the rotating parts.
(6) The magnetic rotor slips off.
(7) The medium temperature exceeds the specified temperature of the pump.
(1) Increase the flow rate or install a bypass circulation pipe.
(2) Re - align the pump.
(3) Inspect and repair the pump or improve the operating conditions.
(4) Replace the bearings.
(5) Check the cause and try to eliminate it.
(6) Check the magnetic strength of the inner and outer magnetic rotors or replace the magnetic rotors.
(7) Replace with high - temperature magnetic rotors according to the medium temperature.
5. Bearing heat and easy to damage. (1) Vibration occurs when the pump operates at an extremely low flow rate.
(2) The pump shaft is misaligned with the motor shaft or the shaft is bent.
(3) Friction occurs between the rotating and stationary parts.
(4) The bearings are severely worn or damaged.
(5) Vibration is caused by the imbalance of the rotating components.
(1) Increase the flow rate or install a bypass circulation pipe.
(2) Realign the pump (or shaft) to ensure proper alignment.
(3) Inspect and repair the pump or optimize the operating conditions.
(4) Replace with new bearings (or components, specify if needed).
(5) Identify the root cause and take measures to eliminate it.
6. Media leakage at the lower end of the bracket. (1) The spacer sleeve or the static sealing gasket of the spacer sleeve is damaged.
(2) The pump cover and its end - face sealing gasket are damaged.
(1) Replace with a new one.
(2) Inspect and then replace with a new one.
